Schneider & Marquard Inc. has an

Contract Die
Building
Design and building of high precision tooling to
manufacture parts from a diverse group of materials such as mica,
polyester & polymide films, ferrous & non ferrous metals,
ceramics and many other " new technology" type materials, in
thickness down to .0005". Our Specialty is tooling to stamp
small holes down to 50m micron (.00197") in diameter.
Compacting
Tool
We manufacture carbide compacting tools to
fit Dorst, Stokes, Pentronix and Mannesmann presses. Our
customers are leading manufacturers of small, precision alumina,
steatite, beryllia and metals
parts.
Our
manufacturing process is based on extensive use of EDM
equipment. Our tool room personnel are experts in fitting and
polishing carbide tools and are accustomed to working to .0002"
tolerances and 4 micro inch finishes. We also offer a very
reliable tool maintenance service for customers who need prompt
repair or replacement of tool
parts.
In
addition, we can supply carbide extrusion dies and pin assemblies
for manufacturing ceramic rod and
tubes.
Our
specialty is very small parts with small holes and/or complex
shapes. All of the parts shown are smaller than 1½" at
the greatest dimension. Many parts which we have made tooling
are less than ¼" in size.
Precision
Miniature Stampings
Precision stamping
capabilities meet the very demanding requirements of the
micro-electronics and medical device industries. We supply high
precision miniature stampings with very intricate shapes and hole
diameters as small .004" Parts are stamped from a wide range
of materials such as thin polyester and polymide films and metal
foils as thin as .001" urethane, mica, adhesive backed laminates,
and unfired ceramic tape. Our fully equipped
stamping department has the support of a large and experienced tool
room. Capabilities include parts made on compound dies as well
as parts stamped in continuous strip.
